 Thanksgiving celebrations always involve a lot of food, including candy. Candy can be used for many different aspects of the Thanksgiving holiday. If there will be children at a Thanksgiving celebration, as there usually is, then creating a goodie bag full of candy and other party favors is always a good idea. Goodie bags keep children busy and entertained. During a holiday such as Thanksgiving, many adults take the opportunity to catch up with the other adults of the family because they do not see them often. During this time, children may become bored. Having a good supply of candy and things to do is always a good idea. Candy can also be used in piņatas with a Thanksgiving theme. There are many types of piņatas available including turkey, pilgrim, squash piņatas and much more. Candy makes a great filler because it is affordable and children love it. Adults can even appreciate a fun piņata too! Having candy bowls around the celebration area is also a good idea. Candy is easily eaten during a conversation or as an after dinner treat. Fruit flavored candy that melts after time such as Jolly Ranchers are always a great selection for adults waiting for the big Thanksgiving dinner. Always be mindful of the candy that is put out, however, if young children will be around. Just as for any holiday or party, candy is something that should be supplied all the time. It is something people identify parties and celebrations with. If the host does not supply candy, they will feel as though something is missing. |
